NCA CASI Art Contest

NCA CASI will be hosting an art contest this fall. Two winning selections from each state in NCA CASI's region will be displayed in NCA CASI's headquarters in Tempe, Arizona. Winners will have receive a certificate from NCA CASI and a press release for distribution to local media sources. Their artwork will be featured at a special open house in Tempe on December 4, 2004.

Contest details:

  • The theme of the contest is "learning." Art submissions should pertain to this theme.
  • All students from accredited schools are eligible to participate in the contest.
  • All entries submitted must be original works and must relate to the theme of learning.
  • Each entry must be the work of only one student. Assistance from teachers, parents, or friends is not permitted except in special cases (such as for those with visual or physical disabilities).
  • No more than six entries from the same school may be submitted to the contest. Schools are encouraged to promote broad participation in the contest and then select entries for forwarding to the state office.
  • Maximum size of entries is 11 inches x 14 inches.
  • Entries should be capable of being framed (e.g., paintings, sketches, drawings) as they will be displayed on the walls of NCA CASI's headquarters.
  • Entries should be mailed to your NCA CASI state office. Please note that selections that are not chosen for the contest will not be returned. Contact your state office at 800-525-9517, option 2 to obtain the appropriate mailing address.
  • Entries should have the full name, age, and grade level of the artist as well as the teacher's name, school name, school phone number, and city clearly printed on the back of the artwork.
  • All entries should be submitted to the state office by November 1, 2004.
  • State Offices will select two winning entries - one from grades preK-8 and one from grades 9-12 - that best depict the theme of learning and represent the state.
  • Entries will be forwarded to NCA CASI's headquarters for display.
